Hi Fredericka and Lucy,

I hope you both have had a great summer. I just wanted to shoot you a quick email to let you know that Deagan continues to do wonderfully and he and Kito continue to be best friends. I have attached a bunch of pictures (I hope not too many) so you can see what a beautiful doggy he is growing up to be. He has such a great personality and is the biggest sweetheart ever. He graduated puppy school last month with flying colors. We took him into the vet to get weighed at 8 months and he was 120 pounds (he is getting up there!) He is doing very well with the free feeding and Kito has transitioned well to the free feeding as well. Thanks again for bringing Deagan into our lives.

Subject: Deagan Update

Hi Fredericka and Lucy,

I hope you are both doing well. I wanted to send you an update and some photos of Deagan and his older brother (6 year old english mastiff) Kito. Kito is the one with the gray face 🙂 Deagan is doing great! We took him to the vet 2 days before his 6 month birthday and he was just 1 hamburger shy of 100 pounds, 99.5 to be exact…The vets loved him and thought he was so beautiful, they commented on how focused and calm he was for a 6 month old. One vet even made the comment that he was the biggest 6 month old puppy she has ever seen. Right now his back is only a few inches shorter than Kito’s, so it will probably only be a matter of weeks before big brother Kito becomes little brother Kito. The two of them are getting along great. They lay with each other, drink and eat from the same bowl at the same time (even though there are 2 bowls) and clean each other’s faces and ears (I think ! ! they look like little monkeys when they do that 🙂 ) It is amazing how polite they are with each other and quickly they have become good friends.

He is so lovable and well behaved and can just melt your heart when he looks up at you with his big brown eyes. We started obedience school last week and he is doing wonderful, he is so smart and learns things very easily. He loves chewing on his toys, but hasn’t chewed one single thing that he wasn’t supposed to… He is walking perfect on the leash and is learning lots of commands. We have introduced him to new dogs (big and small) and he has done wonderfully. One of the dogs, my grandmother’s pekingese, actually tried snapping at him, and he responded perfectly, he calmly just walked away. He is such a wonderful dog, we love him. Thanks again for bringing Deagan into our lives.

Sincerely,
Candice and Jeff
