Hi Fredericka and Lucy,
re: Coilean (RobinCarol x Brego 11/04, CGC, TDI,inc.) I’m sending a few pictures of Coilean when she “goes to work”.

In December 2010, Coilean and I accompanied the seventh grade classes to a Long Term Health Care Facility. The kids loved her and the residents sat for long periods of time just stroking her.

Prior to that visit, Coilean was a regular visitor at the Girl Scout Camp where we demonstrated proper dog care, and discussed the importance of training and socialization. By the end of the day a lot of girls who had been afraid to get near her were begging to walk her. (I had to blur the faces of the children and residents in order to be able to allow these photos to be posted. I’d truly love to share my girl with the world, so feel free to post these on the AMBC website as well!)

Subject: I Love My Mastiffs!

Hi Fredericka!

I wanted to give you an update. I’m sorry I haven’t done that in quite a while.

Lucy, Chiot still wags her whole body in that way that only Chiot does – her whole body showing her absolute joy to see and be with her people, or any people!

But I needed to tell you all, once again, how wonderful both my girls are. This time, specifically Chiot.

I was brushing Piesek (collie, who is now almost 14) with Coilean and Chiot lounging next to us. All of a sudden, and without warning, Piesek attacked me. Teeth bared, horrible grimace, she repeatedly bit my arm and hand. Chiot, who is normally obnoxious about kissing and getting in the way trying to love everyone all at once, simply stepped in between Piesek and I and became a Mastiff Wall. After a couple of seconds more, Piesek stopped.

Chiot is fine, and, except for a few beautiful scratches I’m fine, too. After I stopped crying and hugging Chiot, I had to tell you!!!
