Lou J
Daughter of Beauty and Ben
Born October 24, 2005
Hi Fredericka and Lucy,
It’s with much heart ache and many many tears that I write to inform you that our sweet girl passed away on May 24th, 2011- in April she was diagnosed with lymphoma. Lou was a very important part of our family, and her death has been difficult. In her short life, she had brought so much love and happiness to everyone she came in contact with. She could always put a smile on your face no matter what was going on- when you were upset she would push her face into your chest or lay it in your lap or light up the room with the way she smiled (her teeth would chatter with excitement) to see you. There are so many things we already miss of our sweet girl. Our Lou Lou Von Lily of the Valley is a one of a kind and will forever be missed.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to love and care for one of your precious pups.
Warm regards,
Cynthia & Patrick

Hi Fredericka and Lucy,
Our Lou is so sweet, loving and continues to bring lots of joy into our lives.
March 2010 she was diagnosed with a ruptured disc that required back surgery to fix it. Part of her rehabilitation was Hydrotherapy every week- I think that contributed alot to her surgery being a success, Lou was such a great patient –her temperament is beyond words. From the surgeons, technicians, staff and the therapists she aloud them to do whatever they needed without any problems. With all that this girl has been through you would think she would get cranky towards any humans approaching her –not the case Lou loves them all and thinks she’s the mayor when she visits her orthopedic surgeon and vets office–has to say “hi” to everyone…
She celebrated her 5th birthday this past October. Currently weighs 165 (had to have her lose a few pounds to keep the additional weight off her knees).
Attached are some pictures for your website –as you can see in the one picture she still thinks she’s a lap dog– regardless of size she is our baby.
I’ve said it many of times before, we love our sweet girl and can’t thank you enough for her.
Take care
Cynthia & Patrick

Hi Fredericka and Lucy –
Lou is the center of our world and is one of the most beautiful, loving, gentlest dog I’ve ever known. She loves being with us so much that she can’t relax when we are in separate areas of the house or yard –If I’m cleaning the living room and Patrick is in the garage she will come spend some time with me and then get up and go find Patrick to spend time with and will continue doing the back and forth until the both of us her in the same room and she can finally lay down and relax… Although, nothing compares too when my nephew visits then all of her attention is on him and it’s the sweetest relationship they have.
I’ve attached a few photos for you to add to your website… Lou celebrated her 4th birthday back in October. She currently weighs 172 lbs and stands about 33- 34 inches tall.
Thank you a million times over for our sweet sweet girl!!! Have a happy and safe New Year!

Hi Fredericka,
Lou recently celebrated her 3rd birthday and stands at about 32 inches tall and weighs about 163lbs. Attached are a few pictures taken this year of our sweet girl…
As you know she has had a tough year with all of her surgeries due to a bilateral acl tear. Well, I’m happy to report that she is doing GREAT. Her recovery / rehab is coming along better than ever. Her regular vet, the surgeon and all of the techs have commented on what a terrific dog she is. They say that her temperament is beyond fantastic. Whatever they need to do to her she allowed them to do it without any problems.
I am extremely proud to report that Lou has passed the AKC Canine Good Citizenship Test and she is also a Certified Therapy Dog! We can start our visits when she is totally recovered.. which I can’t wait for!
She is such an attention getter where ever we go! I usually take Lou to Petsmart or Petco with me for her treats and a 20 minute visit will easily turn into at least an hour or longer because of someone stopping me to ask about her. Everyone that we run into always comment about how well behaved, friendly, beautiful or sweet that she is..
These dogs have such unconditional love for their humans.. I can leave the house for 10 minutes to come back to find her so happy to see me like she hadn’t seen me for hours.. When she is excited to see you not only does her tail wag but her entire body shakes plus she smiles and when she smiles her teeth chatter and all of this is so endearing.
Thank you for such a great companion…

Hi Fredericka,
I am so excited to report this one to you.. I took Lou in a couple weeks ago for x-rays (she’s fine) and as the vet was looking them over she reported to me that Lou has the best hips she’s ever seen in a giant breed before.
We can’t thank you enough for such a loving companion, she is doing so well. She loves all the attention that she gets from everyone in our family and the people that we see on the street. It’s amazing how she has built this bond with my nephew who is 10 years old. When he stays with us for the weekend she is always around him and when he goes home she mopes around for the rest of the afternoon.
She’s now 20 months old and weighs about 150 lbs and stands 31 inches tall. As you can see in the attached photos she is getting to be a big girl.
In case you put this on your website I wanted to include some pictures that shows how she has been growing. Thanks for such a great dog we couldn’t imagine our lives without her.
Hope all is well and thanks again!!
